Interregnum
So I know that AAW and I, along with the rest of the Halosphere, have gone into somewhat of a dormant mode ever since the regular season ended. School has been busy for me lately, so I haven't had a chance to post much.
However, I've tried to steal away some playoff-game watching whenever I can, and all I can say is "Go Tigers!" Jeff Weaver is a douche, too. Kenny Rogers...not sure what to make of that whole affair. LaRussa should have asked the umpires to inspect it--a manager needs to stand behind his players and ensure that the playing field is as level as possible.

Wholeheartedly disagree.
I mentioned this on HalosHeaven, but I'm really tired of this "team fantasy season" bullshit. If you ask me, it's a giant conspiracy--the Angels (and maybe the D-Backs) had fantastic runs and MLB said "hey! Great publicity, brings the old fans out!" So they systematically found a few "old favourites but frustrated" teams to re-make--and here we have the BoSox, the ChiWeenies, and the GeneralMotorsChumps.
Besides, the Cards have made consecutive playoff appearances with nought to show for it. This is their year--Besides that, they've got (aside from WeaverTheDouchebag) plenty of ex-Angels. What's not to love?
